When I was in 11th grade, we were assigned to create a photo series built around a cohesive idea. I realized that the photos I took for that project felt weaker—compositionally and emotionally—than my other work. Over time, I’ve come to understand that photography, for me, isn’t about content or narrative. It’s about intuitively capturing compelling patterns, colors, and compositions.
I’m most drawn to taking photos when I’m traveling or exploring unfamiliar spaces. That’s why I’ve chosen to organize my photos by the cities they were taken in(exept for the BTS). Although many of the images are too abstract to directly represent those places, they still offer a glimpse into how I see them—through texture, tone, and form rather than landmarks or documentation.
I immigrated to Vancouver to study film, but I didn’t expect this coldness running through the veins of its streets
In the spring, I took a solo trip to the south of Iran—spending four days in Shiraz, one day in Bushehr, and another in Ahvaz.
